Roopkund Mysterious " SKELETON LAKE"
Roopkund Lake is a glacial lake located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. It's situated at an elevation of about 5,029 meters (16,499 feet) in the Himalayas. The lake is famous for its unique feature: it contains human skeletal remains, which have led to its nickname as the "Skeleton Lake." The skeletal remains were initially discovered in the 1940s by a forest ranger, and subsequent expeditions and studies have suggested that the remains date back to around the 9th century. Theories about the origin of the skeletons vary, but the prevailing belief is that the individuals died due to a combination of factors including a sudden hailstorm and high-altitude sickness.
